What does innovation mean to you?
For me, innovation is not just about creating something new – it is about actively shaping the future in times of uncertainty. Innovation means challenging the status quo, embracing complexity, and turning global challenges into opportunities. I believe true innovation happens when different perspectives and competencies come together: corporates and startups, industries and ecosystems, business and sustainability. It is the courage to experiment, to learn fast, and to transform ideas into solutions that are both impactful and economically viable.
What do you believe is the most important capability for companies to thrive in the economy of tomorrow?
I believe the most important capability is the ability to stay adaptable and resilient in times of uncertainty. The economy of tomorrow will be shaped by constant change – from technological disruption to sustainability challenges – and companies cannot rely on static strategies. Thriving organizations will be those that can learn fast, innovate continuously, and collaborate across ecosystems. They need to integrate sustainability not as an add-on, but as a core driver of business success, turning pressure into opportunity. For me, the capability that makes the difference is building structures and cultures that embrace change, empower people, and open doors for partnerships. This combination of adaptability, innovation, and collaboration will enable companies not only to survive but to create meaningful impact in the economy of tomorrow.
How can we leverage our collective strength to create a more prosperous future?
We can only create a more prosperous future if we recognize that no single organization can solve today’s challenges alone. Leveraging our collective strength means building ecosystems where collaboration replaces competition, where knowledge and resources are shared to accelerate solutions. It requires the courage to break silos and design partnerships that create win-win situations, connecting sustainability with business value. By combining the creativity of startups, the scale of corporates, the responsibility of public institutions, and the energy of communities, we can co-create innovations that are both impactful and economically viable. For me, collective strength is about trust, openness, and positivity – empowering people and organizations to join forces, learn from each other, and transform challenges into opportunities.
